I have been making ceramics for many years. I mean maaaaaany years. And I like to share what I have learned. That is why I consider myself a guide who accompanies visitors through territories I have already explored.
In my workshop in Feltre, I guide enthusiasts in discovering this ancient art, offering a space of relaxation, creativity, concentration, and sharing.
Every spring e autumn, I organize courses of various levels for those who have never worked with clay and want to learn the basics, as well as for those who are already familiar with the potter's wheel or the basics of ceramics and want to improve their technique.
By the end of the course, you will have a general theoretical and practical knowledge of the subject and you will have your finished creations in hand, ready to be used or gift-giving.
beginner's course
In the basic course you will learn how to manipulate clay to create objects that are initially simple and flat, then increasingly articulated and complex using various techniques: slab building, pinching, and coiling. And in the last lesson, you can also try your hand at the potter's wheel (yes, just like in Ghost).
advanced course
If instead you already have a grasp of the basic techniques, you can join a more advanced workshop to create objects with more complex techniques.
Using altered slab, which I call tailored ceramics, we will create complex objects to be decorated with a variety of techniques, with both slip and glaze, image transfer, monoprinting, mishima, and much more.
short workshops
In addition to these, I also organize courses in special techniques, raku, alternative firings, obvara, and who knows how many others I will come up with. These are shorter but very rewarding experiences, true celebrations of ceramics where you can meet and collaborate with people who share your passion for craftsmanship.
